![]() ![]() PHOTO RENAMER DATE TAKEN PROMy Computer dalchina Posts : 36,979 Win 10 Pro (21H2) (2nd PC is 21H2) 6 Thanks for confirming that. I can recommend 'Attribute Changer' and 'Advanced Renamer'. This rename system prevents duplicates and put a short info to a file name such as brief camera model name, picture taken date and time: 12-98-12350D.jpg. For any other photo or edited photos, I have manually changed the 'date modified' to be equal with the 'date taken'. As it works now, if you upload an Album to the same Gallery again, it will upload *everything* again, and you'll have duplicate photos in the gallery. Photo Renaming RoboFolder allows you to rename files based on flexible renaming system. Or, better still (and yes, this is yet another feature request), if you added a few photos to the iPhoto Album, and did an upload, the Uploader would do a check first to see which files were actually new, and only upload those files. ![]() Of course it'd be nice if you uploaded just a few more photos to a Gallery that they automatically be dropped into the correct place chronologically (if so desired). So I got the bright idea that since iPhoto already can sort, if I used the Uploader to upload by iPhoto Album (as opposed to by files), it might preserve the sort order. Let me share a simple, wonderful and free tool that I have just used to rename a mess of several hundreds of pictures to their taken dates - it is called. You can view and rename files of the following formats: JPG, BMP, TIF, PSD, PCX, PNG, TGA, and WMF. So I was hoping that Smugmug might offer the option to sort based on the EXIF dates. You can rename either each photo separately or all photos in a folder at once. Let me know if you’d like anything in specific. PHOTO RENAMER DATE TAKEN INSTALLpython setup.py install I plan to introduce more functionality in future. You can also customise the date format to the one you already use. PHOTO RENAMER DATE TAKEN ZIPpip install smart-image-renamer Or you can download smart-image-renamer as zip from it’s Github page and install it like any other python package. Insert the date and time before or after your photo name. ![]() Of course this information is actually embedded in the images themselves, in the EXIF headers (you can see all of this data when you click on "More photo details)". Download Best way to download smart-image-renamer is using pip. So if you happen to be like me, maybe you have two digital cameras, or multiple memory cards, but at any rate, the filename order of any given gallery of photos does *not* correspond to the date on which they were taken. ![]()
